Multi-award-winning USA Dance Amateur DanceSport competitors, Daniel S. Janik and Setsuko Tsuchiya will be your hosts for a monthly Community Social Dance in the "Ice Cream Parlor" of the up-the-hill Phase 2 of the Hawaii Kai Retirement Community (HKRC), the 

FIRST SUNDAY of every month

from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. 

Open to the public for social dancing. Free (no admission fee), free light refreshments, ample free parking. Emphasizing Ballroom (Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango and Quickstep) and Latin-American (Rumba, Cha Cha, Samba, Jive). Come and dance the evening away! Partner not required. No smoking/vaping, drugs or alcohol permitted.

Who It's For:
- new/beginner to advanced ballroom and latin dancers, including individuals without partners, persons with disabilities and non-dancing socializers. NO Flip-Flops or slippers please; we strongly suggest leather-soled or dance shoes. 

What We Do:
- a monthly, loosely-themed, open social community dance with pre-recorded contemporary ballroom and Latin-American music; 
- dance (move your body) to, watch, listen to and/or just enjoy the party to inspiring music;
- a dance partner is recommended but not necessary;
- enjoy a dance with your hosts, Daniel S. Janik or Setsuko Tsuchiya;
- enjoy a brief dance demonstration by your hosts and/or other outstanding dancers*; 
- make new friends
- enjoy friendship and free light refreshments; 
- check out Hawaii Kai Retirement Community (did you know HKRC rents rooms, apartments and houses to visitors to Hawaii?) and check out and/or join International Ballroom Dance Inc (one of about 15 dance clubs in Hawaii that sponsor low-cost community dances at the Honolulu Palladium - second floor of the Ala Wai Golf Course building).
