 - Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Chemistry degree from University of Washington, Seattle;

 - Masters of Public Health (MPH) degree in Maternal and Child Health from the School of Public Health at the University of California Berkeley

 - Medical Degree (MD) from the School of Medicine at Loma Linda University, Loma Linda, California

 - Doctor of Education (PhD) degree in Linguistics from Bircham International University, Madrid, Spain (Dissertation: A Neurobiological Theory and Method of Language Acquisition)

 - Doctor Honoris Causa (DrHC) from Bircham International University, Madrid, Spain for serving as a Dean of Natural Sciences on the Academic Board and "contributing with knowledge and research to the development of this university."

A pioneer in the neurobiology of transformative learning, he has held academic, teaching and research positions at numerous American and international colleges and universities.

He currently supports his own online course in College English Preparation including critical writing/reading and listening/speaking ("critical thinking")

He is also currently an adjunct instructor of liberal arts at Argosy University Hawaii.
