AH, have you heard about OTOSOTU (pronounced “Oh-Toe-So-Two” for the JET Progress movie “On The Other Side Of The Universe”)? OTOSOTU is unusual right from the beginning, being a sci-fu film about the nature of the human soul. Filming finished in late February, and the work is now in post production, with an anticipated release in late 2024. In the prior post, I described some of what goes on during the mysterious “post-production” period.

As of today, the over 600 scenes, filmed out-of-order to take best advantage of backgrounds and camera angles, were recently reassembled into order in what we call the “raw” segments. No edits, no music, no transitions, just the best “take” for every scene assembled in correct order. OTOSOTU exited the raw state last week, and is now in editing, where everything, including dialog is enhanced, and all that’s unnecessary or detracting to the storyline is removed. Currently, Zachary M. Oliver, who provided the award-winning score for our recently released film, WINNOWING, is considering the score for OTOSOTU. Like WINNOWING, OTOSOTU stars Daniel S. Janik and Sakura Kai (aka Setsuko Tsuchiya); unlike WINNOWING, OTOSOTU also stars renown author and actor William Maltese and features Pam Hoffman as the Voice of the Imperax Galactic.
