OTOSOTU (pronounced “Oh-Toe-So-Two” for “On The Other Side Of The Universe”), which introduces a new genre of filmmaking, namely sci-fu or scientific futuring (see https://soif.org.uk/about/jim-dator/ and https://foresightguide.com/dator-four-futures/) rather than science fiction or fantasy, is, however, much more. Its intriguing exploration of the nature of the soul instantly elevates it to a metaphysical exploration as well.

Oxford Languages defines metaphysics as “the branch of philosophy that deals with the first principles of things, including abstract concepts such as being, knowing, substance, cause, identity, time, and space,” and OTOSOTU connects with viewers on a number of these points. Okay, naysayers might call it fortune telling, or spiritualists prophesying, or even just another cult work like the prophecies of Nostradamus. But OTOSOTU is based on the four possible ways of knowing truth; authority, science, probability and Multiverse Theory, emphasizing the latter.

While traveling the Earth may be becoming increasingly dangerous, I recommend a good armchair, big screen home TV and YouTube access in anticipation of the release of OTOSOTU in 2024.
